Ningbo Polytechnic (NBPT) is a full-time public higher polytechnic educational institution that was approved by the Ministry of Education.the former schools are Ningbo Li Huili Secondary Specialized School and Ningbo Spare Time University for Staff and Workers.The school has been recruiting full-time students in Zhejiang province since 1999.The college was honoured as a Key regional Polytechnic under construction by both Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance in 2003.NBPT has won several titles,including Modern Technology training Base for Vocational Higher Education Staff,Cooperative Experimental Base for National Research on industry and Education, and Digital-controlled Technology Training Base approved by both Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance.NBPT also won the honor of "National Outstanding Vocational School" and serves as vice-chair of China Higher Vocational School Reserch Committee since 2005.Prof.He Xiantu,Academician of Chinese Axademy of Sciences,serves as the chancellor. NBPT is located in Beilun zone,which is consisted of Ningbo Economic and Technological Zone,the Free Trade Zone,Daxie Island Development Zone,Export Processing Zone and the Port Zone.The area homed more than a thousand large-sized foreign enterprises including 30 of Forbes 500.Beilun,also well known as an important manufacturing base in Eastern china,is cramming with factories of automobile parts,Chemistru,Metallurgy and other advanced technology.It is an area with complete economical vitality and potentiality.With such a perfect surrounding,NBPT has been developing rapidly by cooperation with these enterprises. | Mr.Li Huili(1912-1991)was born in Shanghai and his hometown is Zhong Gong Miao Town.Ying County.he was honored as "the King of Watch"in Hong Kong and has ever been appointed as an Honorary President of Ningbo Tesidents Association in Hong Kong . In 1987,Mr.Li Huili returned to his hometown for the first time.Hedonated 6.5 million Hong Kong dollars to start the vocational education in Huang Li,Jiang Dong District of Ningbo and the school was named as Li Huili Secondary Specialized School. |
